The Bermuda Nurses Association professional development grant offers financial assistance to pay for a portion or all of the approved educational offerings.Examples include attending conference, workshops, seminars and certification examinations. We are 
pleased to offer a selection of scholarships to Bermuda nursing students and current nurses licensed in Bermuda and committed to their nursing practice in Bermuda.



Nursing Scholarship
Advanced Practice Nursing Degree Scholarship
Nursing Innovation and Leadership Scholarship
Textbook Grant

NURSING SCHOLARSHIP
$3000.00
 
($3500 for Bermuda College Students)

 

This scholarship is intended for undergraduate degree students, currently enrolled in an accredited or approved nursing degree program with desire to advance nursing practice in Bermuda.  Recipients of prior BNA scholarships are not eligible for this scholarship.

 

Additional Requirements:

 

Employment in Bermuda after graduation.

Maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 for the academic year for which the scholarship is granted.


Extenuating circumstances for non-completion of course(s) will require documented evidence submitted to BNA. Failure to comply with the above criteria will require the applicant to return the full amount of the scholarship to BNA.  Transcripts must be submitted to the BNA (treasurer@bna.bm) at the end of the academic year.

 

ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSING DEGREE SCHOLARSHIP
$3000.00

 

(Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Specialist, Nurse Midwife)

 

This scholarship is intended for Registered Nurses undertaking a post-licensure nursing degree. Candidates must be a member of BNA for minimum of last two years prior to submitting the application and continue their commitment to working in Bermuda after completion of their degree. 

 

Additional Requirements:

 

Employment in Bermuda after graduation.

Maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 for the academic year for which the scholarship is granted.

 

Extenuating circumstances for non-completion of course(s) will require documented evidence submitted to BNA. Failure to comply with the above criteria will require the applicant to return the full amount of the scholarship to BNA.  Transcripts must be submitted to the BNA (treasurer@bna.bm) at the end of the academic year.


NURSING INNOVATION & LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP
$3000.00

(Master’s or Higher Degree in Nursing)

 

This scholarship is intended for Registered Nurses currently enrolled in an accredited program and pursuing a master’s degree or higher. Candidates must have an interest in advancing nursing practice through innovation, technology, leadership, or other emerging applications contributing to patient care in Bermuda. Candidates must be a member of BNA for minimum of last two years prior to submitting the application and continue their commitment to working in Bermuda after completion of their degree.

 

Additional Requirements:

Employment in Bermuda after graduation.

Maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 for the academic year for which the scholarship is granted

TEXTBOOK GRANT

This scholarship is intended for Bermuda College nursing students in the Associate of Science in Nursing Program


Additional Requirements:

 

Maintain employment in Bermuda after graduation.

Currently in the sophomore year with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 for the academic year for which the scholarship is granted.

 

 

Extenuating circumstances for non-completion of course(s) will require documented evidence submitted to BNA. Failure to comply with the above criteria will require the applicant to return the full amount of the scholarship to BNA.  Transcripts must be submitted to the BNA (treasurer@bna.bm) at the end of the academic year.
